Description
A flowing piano introduction sets a tender mood as the cello begins in the key of D, then transitions into the key of B flat for the second verse. The accompaniment transitions back to the key of D for the third verse and the pianist plays the first two phrases as a solo, the cello joining with a beautiful obligato and melodic variation. The piece ends with a soft recap and flourish.
